I have been using JF products for nearly a year now and I wont go back to any other product. JF hair color leaves my hair shiny and soft with no damage, unlike a few other brands that I have used. I had salon highlights done about a month ago b/c I was a cool almond brown and wanted to go blonde due to my increasing gray hair. I had some new growth and decided to try this color; I still have a few stubborn grays around my temples that didnt take the color so maybe I will leave it on my roots a bit longer next time.Otherwise, I absolutely LOVE this color!!! I love this product, however the color came out quite a bit darker than I thought it would. Its more of a very dark brown with a subtle hint of red highlight. Its more of what I would expect the 3VR Deep Cherry Brown to look like, had I used that. Im sure it will look lovely in the sun, however next time I am going to try a shade lighter. As far as the quality of the product, I definitely recommend it. The color looks natural, the foam makes it easy to use and it rinsed out quite easily as well. It also smells great and left my hair very soft and shiny. See more

So here is the deal: I went to do my roots with my normal color and come to find out they didnt have what I normally used so I grabbed the closest thing to it. Applyed and my roots where crazy orange and my mid shafts where very light with a greenish tint. I didnt apply it to my ends cause they were plenty light enough (we are talking bleach blonde#. So I got ticked off and went to the store and I told myself I will just go back to my nautral color until summertime. So I grabbed some 8N #which is my nautral color). I am in the process of letting it process now. I will come back once its done and dried. And really leave a review on the outcome. Okay I am all done... The color looks pretty good, not exactly true to color but it works. My roots are still a bit bright but I think the next time I color it will fix that all together. Over all I am pretty pleased and will use this color again the the future. Oh another thing if you dont want your hair to smell like you just colored it, after rinsing the color out shampoo twice then condition like normal. See more

The John Frieda Precision Foam Colour in 3N- Deep Brown/Black came with simple instructions to follow. Instead of shaking the bottle, tilting the bottle upside down 5 times is recommended. Also, the bottle comes with a "pump-like" foamer, but is to be squeezed instead of pumped! Applying the foam to the roots and ends is pretty easy and to ensure your hair is completely covered, roots and all, your hair will be frothy with foam. I added an additional 5 minutes to the 20 because of my thick hair. When timing was done, I rinsed my hair with warm water, until clear and added the conditioner to my hair. I conditioner smells wonderful and I left it in my hair for about 5 minutes, then rinsed it out. After towel drying my hair, I noticed that my hair was much darker than I thought it would be. I originally started out with light brown hair before applying the Precision Foam Colour to my hair. I am not at all complaining though. I wanted a darker color for my hair and I got it!
