I have been diabetic since 1994, (or at least that is when I accidentally found out about it) and since then have used many different test units. In 2009 I started going blind, so I was given this meter, because not only do I not need to program the code for the strips, it also tells me my reading in a clear English voice. Since then the ONLY problem J have had, was the battery going out. oooohhhhhhh!!! I believe 2-3 dollars at any store that sells batteries. Calibrating it requires two bottles of solution and two test strips.. I would definitely recommend this test meter for anyone who has impaired vision or good vision See more
