I started using FreeStyle Lite because that was what my insurance would pay for. Our group changed plans and as a result, I had to get a different monitor and accompanying test strips. The switch was OK, but I much preferred FreeStyle Lite to the point that I bought these on my own rather than using insurance to get the testing supplies covered by insurance.

My husband uses these strips, but we pay less than half the price!

After trying four other monitors and their respective strips, I finally found one that I can depend upon to deliver more accurate results. I used to have to stick my finger 3-4 times and take the "average" of the results to know my blood sugar. No more. Cost a little more (thus the 4 stars), but I use less and can depend upon them.

This year product was removed from health plan and changed to another test strip and the test unit required. This unit and 2 others I tried did not work for me as FreeStyle Lite did. Because of this I had to search the open market for a place to purchase this product. Lucky for me I was able to get it over the internet though Walmart at a price I could handle. Thank you Walmart!!!!!

I have hunted for a good source of FreeStyle Glucose test strips for awhile. CVS was just too much money. Like a buck a strip. I chose FreeStyle because in one study I read this was the most accurate strip and meter on the market. My insurance doesnt cover this brand and I want and need accuracy.
