The floss I used prior to getting this Equate Comfort Mint Dental Floss was always getting stuck or would break or split in two. I found this floss to be very user friendly as well as its sturdiness where it doesnt break while being used to floss. It isnt round like other flosses this one is flat to where it can glide through the crevices between each tooth without breaking. I could go from tooth to tooth without fear of it breaking, getting stuck or breaking in two. The mint flavor is also a good addition to this floss. The only flaw that I found was the cutting segment has to be tighter so that when trying to cut the floss it just keeps going. What I did is tighten the cutting segment so that it would cut the floss without allowing it to keep running through when you try to cut it. Again, great product which I highly recommend. See more

It is a great alternative and a much cheaper alternative to the brand name dental floss. It is stated clearly that it could compare to Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Comfort Plus Mint Floss. The clue is to make sure that it is comfortable while flossing. It is mint, and it is comfortable.

I received this Equate Extra Comfort Mint Dental Floss in the double pack from the Spark Reviewer Program. This is every bit as good as the more expensive brands, but at much less cost. Being a double pack you save even more, and since we are talking about something that youre really just going to throw away, it just makes sense to spend less as long as youre getting the same kind of clean as the other brands. I tend to have a problem with some floss shredding as I use it, but this one does not. It gets my teeth and gums clean. The trade-off with these kinds, is that if your fingers get wet, which they usually do, the floss just wants to slide right out of your fingers. I do like the minty flavor! See more

I tried the Equate floss last night. Since I didnt have my glasses on I thought the floss was the regular one and not the dental tape. This morning with my glasses on and ready to write my review, I see that the floss is more like a dental tape although the packaging does not say that. Unless the manufacturers are making the floss a little wider then the usual very thin skinny kind now a days. I havent bought floss in many years because I just use what my dentist gives me after each cleaning. I have my teeth cleaned quarterly so the little container last me until the next visit. To me the floss didnt feel very wide so maybe this isnt a dental tape and is not waxed. Im use to using the waxed type because its not so slippery. I feel that the waxed floss cleans my teeth better. As I was using the floss I thought it felt a little too thin for me. The floss is a little too smooth and I had to wrap it around my finger several times. This means I have to use more floss so a container wont last too long. The floss had a nice mint flavor which is a plus but I dont necessarily have to have it. I just received the floss the day before and tried the floss last night. I havent had a chance to see if the floss will shred in between my teeth yet. I have that problem with other brands and its very annoying. Hopefully the Equate brand wont do that. I will find out when I use the floss again tonight. I think the Equate floss did the job as well as any other brand. Im not sure what Equate means by extra comfort, to me the only difference would be regular or dental tape. Im not picky about brands. I received Equate Extra Comfort Mint Dental Floss through the Spark Review Program. Its really more of a dental tape. I have sensitive gums, and regular string-type floss is painful to use. I was using Oral B Glide, which is pricey. The Equate floss does a wonderful job of cleaning between the teeth, and it has an extra bonus of a nice minty taste. It didnt snag or break, and it performed just as well as the Oral B. The multi-pack is a must-have item, as I always carry floss with me in case I need to freshen up and cant brush my teeth. See more
