I first started using Sensodyne a month ago and had a wonderful experience. When my first tube ran out, I mistakenly purchased this version of Sensodyne and woah...my entire mouth is filled with painful canker sores. My lips are swollen and painful. My gums hurt very badly. Ive had the taste of iron in my mouth all day maybe from bleeding? I havent even used this toothpaste for a week and have already thrown it away because of the bad reaction I had to it. Its good to know others have had the same experience - it lets me know Im not crazy! Needless to say, stay away from this version. You will regret it! See more

Wow. Wish I would have read reviews before I bought this for my 15 year old. Week of use lead to huge canker sore under tongue, swollen lips, burning and painful gums. There should be a warning on this. Something is very wrong as evidenced by all the reviewers with the same problems.

Not only did this particular toothpaste taste bad, but after 3 days, the inside of my lips and gums were swollen with a number, burning sensation. My lips are white-ish, dry, and flaking. I feel like there should be a warning on the box with as many people have had these reactions. My mouth is so sore!

After using for a few days I woke up with puffy, inflamed lips. Next day I had canker sores all over and inflamed gums. Mouth was legit burning. My lips were cracking and peeling and looked like I had lip injections. I couldnt eat hard foods because it felt like I had tiny cuts all over my mouth. Irritation went away a day or two after stopping. Never had an issue with other kinds of Sensodyne products so I was really surprised. Super bummed it happened but hopefully posting this and people seeing other reviews will help other people not to buy this product. Personally I think they should either discontinue or reformulate it. See more

One of my teeth are real sensitive because I have a small cavity my dentist deems too small to repair right now. She suggested I use fluoride mouthwash, which I already do. I bought this to try to help with the sensitivity in the meantime, and within hours of using yesterday morning, under my tongue and the inside of my lower lip started swelling. My lip feels lumpy but I cannot see anything there. Under my tongue is very sore and swollen. It hurts to eat and is affecting my speech as I am trying not to let the bottom of my tongue come into contact with my bottom teeth, because that is even more painful. I will not be using this again.
