Returns & Exchanges Policy

1. OUR "GREAT HAIR DAY" PROMISE At BeautyEncounter, we want you to absolutely love your hair. If you accidentally ordered the wrong product or simply changed your mind, we offer a straightforward return policy within 30 days of your delivery date.

2. STRICT HYGIENE & SANITATION GUIDELINES Because hair care products are personal hygiene items, we adhere to very strict return conditions to guarantee the safety and purity of our inventory for all customers:

  • Unopened & Unused Only: We can only accept returns for items that are in their original, pristine condition. The factory packaging, shrink wrap, and all safety seals must remain completely intact.
  • Opened or Used Products: If a shampoo, mask, serum, or styling product has been opened, unsealed, or used (even just once "to test the scent"), it is strictly non-returnable. For sanitary reasons, we cannot restock or resell opened cosmetics. Opened items sent to our returns center will be safely disposed of, and no refund will be issued.
  • Hair Tools & Accessories: Brushes, combs, and hair accessories are considered Final Sale if their original packaging has been opened.

3. DAMAGED IN TRANSIT (LEAKS & SPILLS) While we meticulously tape and wrap every bottle, rough transit can occasionally cause a pump to break or a bottle to leak.

  • If your product arrives damaged or spilled, please email us at BeautyEncounter@example.com within 48 hours of receiving your package.
  • Include your Order Number and clear, well-lit photos of the damaged bottle, the spilled contents, and the shipping box.
  • We will promptly issue a free replacement or a full refund to your original payment method.

4. ALLERGIC REACTIONS & INCOMPATIBILITY Every scalp and hair type is unique. We strongly recommend reading the full ingredient lists provided on our product pages before purchasing, especially if you have sensitivities to sulfates, silicones, or specific botanical extracts. Because we are a retailer and not the manufacturer, we cannot accept returns on opened products due to individual allergic reactions or hair type incompatibility.

5. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

  1. Ensure your item meets our unopened/unused criteria.
  2. Email our Customer Care team to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  3. Securely pack the item to prevent leaks during return transit. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  4. Ship the package to our Boston Returns Facility (the exact address will be provided with your RMA).
