Ive seen that some people are saying this brush is scratchy. That may be true! I think elf changed the bristles for this brush not long ago, and I know they used to be scratchy. Not now! I bought this brush in a pinch and I was only planning on using it once (since I knew the bristles werent so good). I was pleasantly surprised when I realized how plush this one is! I now use it for everything. My only complaint is that it might be too fluffy and it doesnt hold as much pigment as Id like it to.

I got this in the brush set that was free with a $25+ purchase a couple of months ago. The whole set is quite good, but this one brush is my favorite in the whole set. Its much bigger and fluffier than pictured. I think after one or two uses it really opens up and when that happens, it is fantastic for powdering the whole face. I use this with loose or pressed powder, and I use it to blend all my powder face products together. Its also great for a bronzer brush because it gives a nice sweep of color all over. One thing that I like to do with this is to use it after a setting spray to work the spray into the product. This is especially useful when the setting sprays all-too-often come out in droplets rather than a fine mist. I wish e.l.f. would come out with a really great setting spray, but thats a side-note. This is a good quality brush, despite its low price. I have been using it both for my IT compact powder foundation and my Bare Minerals Veil Powder. I havent had it shed any bristles, and it seems to work well with both powders. I will definitely be buying more of the e.l.f. brand brushes!

This brush is very good to use if you are using loose powder over your foundation. Dab the brush in your loose powder then tap the hadle of the brush on your dresser spreading it in the brissles evenly. Then powder your face. The brush is very soft and leaves no brissles behind. Great cost, great product!

I had this brush a few years ago before Elf switched to synthettic bristles and it was so scratchy on the face. The new version is so much softer, however the bristles arent very dense so its difficult to pick up and apply enough powder on the face. And with the amount of foundation I wear, I really need my powder. It takes too long to get powder on my entire face and missed places on my face entirely because it just doesnt pick up enough product. This might be good for beginners or those who dont need much powder. I would spend the extra $2 and get one of the black handled brushes. They are so much more effective. See more
