As I was recently diagnosed as a diabetic, I recently had to attend a diabetes class. We were all given this Contour Next EZ meter. So simple to use and much faster and easier than my dads old one. Also, I love the fact that it keeps track of times Ive taken my blood. Thanks for making it simple.

So much better to have meter at home than have a blood draw as often as I do. I am a hard draw because I have small veins, the blow and roll. I have had to have in some instants 3 times and still have to have a special person come to draw. The meter is so much easier on me and its at home. My only problem is the operator (me) forgets the steps sometimes and uses too much supplies and fear that I wont get the order in time for the next test.

Im glad to have started with this meter, it is very easy to use, and very reliable readings. My insurance company has decided that they will no longer pay for these strips however. The only thing that is a drawback is not being able to connect to phone. I prefer meters that upload and let you type messages daily.

No Medicare provider supports Freestyle meters. Which is too bad because they have been rated as the most accurate by Consumer Reports at least twice. So I picked this one based on a number of reviews I had read. Its ok. But its much bigger than the Freestyle. Otherwise no real complaints

I used an Ascensia meter until they quit making test strips for it. The replacement (contour next) only gave readings in the 90s. Never below 90 of above 99. This was replaced with my current next-ez. This is still mostly in the 90s I know it isnt always correct as I have 2 type 1 diabetics in the family and have used their meters on occasion. I have delayed calling Ascencia because the last call was confusing.
