I have been using the Contour Next products for a year. I started taking oral meds one month ago. My blood sugars are know under control. My father in law is also type 2 and insulin dependent. He used a prodigy Voice. 6 time he collapsed after his blood sugars bottomed out. After the third time we suspected false readings from his meter. So we got a new Prodigy Voice. Three more time we had to call 911. The last time while waiting for the EMTs I took a reading with his Prodigy. It read 111. So was was he not responding. 5 minutes later the EMT took his blood sugar count. It was 20. This confirmed the Prodigy was junk even though it was brand new. He was overdosing his insulin because of high readings on the Prodigy. I got him a Contour Next One. Since switching to it. He has no issues. Blood sugars are now stable. For people that are insulin dependent. An accurate meter is life saving. Contour Next system will give you the accurate reads to adjust your life saving insulin. Ive been using this for several months now. The first one had problems where inserting the test strips would sometimes not work (i.e., the meter would not recognize a strip was inserted.) A new one was sent and it works just fine. Having a Bluetooth connection with my cell phone is a nice touch. What I do miss from my Contour similar meter (NOT Contour Next) is that the old meter was rechargeable, the Next version is not. Although it doesnt go through batteries very often, at least.

I have been using it for about a month and find that along with the ease of use and accurate readings (I have had it calibrated and it is within expected range) have found the bluetooth connectivity and smartphone app very useful. Setup was easy and website support and information rich content a bonus.

Love love love this meter! Synchronizes to my phone in a blink. Test strips require very small amount of blood. The app in my phone gives average BG readings weekly, monthly. So user friendly. There may be a better meter but for me I think its awesome 5 stars!!

I just converted to the 670 G Med Tronic Pump I had to bayer blood glucose meter that linked to my last pump I had to meters and Im unable to obtain another one of these that will link to my insulin pump I like the machine and ease of use but Im having problems remembering to have the meter with me at all times generally keep one at home one in the truck but its been difficult
