My Cardiologist switched me to prescription 40 mg Nexium from Prevacid. Taking 2 OTC 20 mg Nexium 24-HR is the same as taking one prescription 40mg Nexium, but way cheaper, even with insurance applied to the prescription strength. Its still over-priced, but until they start selling a generic version Im stuck with it.

My friend had told me about Nexium. Had me try it after seeing what my reflex did to me. This IS the only thing that has saved me. I have tried all other reflex meds, none helped for very long. Nexium I take two every morning. I can eat and drink again. When ordering this online it got to me quickly. VERY HAPPY WITH IT!

I have had heartburn it seems like forever. I have never used a prescription heartburn medicine. Over the counter I have used - Tums, Zantac and Pepcid. But nothing works for me as well as Nexium works. I know it works because when I stop for a week, I am in misery. Ive asked my doctor if it is alright to take Nexium continuously (not stopping after 3 weeks) and he said if it helps your heartburn continue to take it. So I have taken it ever since it has been available as an over-the-counter medicine. And I purchase it at Walmart because as with everything else, Walmart has the best price. I purchase it through walmart.com since the nearest Walmart store is 20 miles from my house. See more
