It took a long time to convince me to try an electric toothbrush and I am sorry I waited. Not only do I feel like it improves how clean my teeth are, I actually had my hygienist ask if I had switched based on my gum health. It was a great compliment! I also have invisalign currently and I found that this brush definitely cleans the liners much more quickly and thoroughly than a manual brush. If you are still on the fence about trying out an electric toothbrush I would definitely recommend this as 1st purchase.

Pros: lithium battery is better for the environment than previous NiCad based toothbrushes. Simple, clean design. Does the job, more or less. Cons: there is only a single power setting on this brush. And its powerful, quite a bit more so than my previous Oral-B electric toothbrush. And that one had a setting that was quite soft in addition to the standard one, which was softer than this ones. Its powerful enough to rattle your head a bit when youre brushing your upper teeth. If youre careful not to press too hard, its workable. I would prefer something a bit less harsh myself. The toothbrush pauses to let you know its time to move on to the next quadrant of your mouth. I find this feature irritating. The pauses ultimately make it take longer to brush your teeth than otherwise. Im not a 4 year-old who needs such reminders. Its a silly feature and they should get rid of it. See more

This product is designed to last less than 2 years. The battery is of a poor quality and the packaging of the brush does not allow changing the battery. Thus the design is meant to make you buy a new brush every 1-2 years. So not only do you have to pay lots for replacement brush heads, but you have to buy a completely new unit because the rechargeable battery in the unit wears out. So instead of just replacing a $2 battery, you pollute the environment and waste money to make oralB richer.

Since using a Oral-B Electric round tooth brush around 15 years ago, my oral hygienist has had nothing but glowing reports on the health of my teeth and gums. I had to just recently replace my original Oral-B toothbrush because I finally wore it out. I have no complaints in how this new model performs, I just wish I had gotten one that I could hang on the wall (like my old one) because I have so little counter space and Im always bumping it and knocking it over. That is really the only bad thing I have to say about it.

Ive now convinced three other people to get this toothbrush since my husband and I bought ours. Its as noisy as the disposable battery toothbrushes but Im sure thats the price point difference between this and a $200 toothbrush. With the rebate this ended up being about $17 at the time of my friends purchases.
