New formula is terrible and caused weird infection. I noticed in under my mouth near my saliva glands and gums I started to get this white resedue type stuff which was very painful to where I couldnt eat certain foods or move my tounge very far. I thought it might be something I ate. I am young and never have to go to the doctor but I was concerned and decided to get it checked out after it going on for over a week. Doctor said might be a bacterial infection. I tried to think of what I did recently that was new that made my mouth flare up and I thought of this toothpaste. I quit using it and my mouth went back to normal after a few days. Something is harmful in the ingredients. See more

How disappointing that you changed what was the best toothpaste ever! Now has horrid taste, no longer "minty fresh" after brushing. Mouth feels stale again shortly after brushing - no longer feel confident. Why?? After trying sooo many toothpastes, was so happy when I finally found the original fresh mint stripe formula years ago. Could finally stop worrying about bad breath. Now it is upsetting because the new formula does not work as well. Started searching online to see what changed after noticing for a few weeks now that my lifesaver toothpaste was no longer effective. Turns out it was not my imagination. And they changed the size too - smaller. There are now a lot of unhappy customers. No, it is not merely a matter of getting used to a minor change. I have to have something that works. Frustrated that I have to start searching all over again. Please consider bringing back the toothpaste we need and love. Thank you. See more

If its not broke dont fix it. Who said anything was wrong with the flavor of the Total mint gel? Bring back the old flavor or Crest has a new customer. Also, DO NOT insult me with the canned response I see you posting to everyone about getting used to flavor or trying another of your products. Coca-Cola tried this years ago with New Coke and realized their mistake.

I have been using exclusively this product since the 90s. Even when I went to go live overseas, I brought multiple tubes because I just cannot use any other toothpaste. I am shocked and angry that the taste has changed. It went from the best and the only toothpaste I use to the worst one. I have tried for a few days but just cannot get over the awful taste and the funny aftertaste. Feels like Ive chewed on chalk or something. I have no idea whats been done, and Im reading that its an improved formula, but honestly Id rather not have the additional benefits and keep the old formula. I went to the store to see if they had some old ones in stock but no luck. So Im going to have to try to find another toothpaste and I havent had to do that my entire adult life! This is just so wrong and I hope theyll change back with enough feedbacks. See more

Been using this toothpaste only for 15+ years. It was the best out there for flavor, not chalky and left a fresh clean aftertaste. New flavor is terrible! Please bring back the old flavor we all loved! Make the new flavor a different type name or something. That way everyone wins, we get our old flavor back and anyone wanting to try something new with the added stuff they can. Bring back the old flavor!
