Ive used Colgate toothpaste since Ive been a child. Im 70 now. My wife and I cannot use this product with the new flavor. Ive cleaned out nearby stores of old product and dont know what well do after. It leaves an awful chalky taste after brushing.

This new flavor is horrendous. So bad this is the first time in my life Ive gotten on a website to leave a negative review. Ive switched toothpastes and wont be going back unless the old flavor is offered. Normally I would just deal with the bad flavor but this literally makes me sick. So disappointed.

Im somewhat relieved but also very bummed to read from fellow reviewers that Im not the only one whos experienced sores/lesions inside my mouth after using this new formula. The original Colgate Total Advanced Whitening formula had been my go-to toothpaste for years and I never had any problems with it. It was always great at cleaning and whitening teeth. However, I started on this new tube about 2 weeks ago and noticed that the inside of my mouth began to have some raw-feeling spots and my gums have inflammation despite regular flossing and mouth-rinsing. I usually experience bad reactions to other sensitive formula toothpaste, and it looks like this new SF formula is just like that. Boo! Colgate please get rid of this new formula!!! See more

The new SF formula is awful! Im devastated because this has been MY toothpaste for 10 years! It tastes awful and I dont think the whitening is the same. Please change it back, Colgate! :(

I would not recommend this new version of Total. Please re-think your decision for changing a product that has been so successful. Beside tasting bad it also burns your mouth and also leaves a horrible taste for hours. If you change back I will continue to purchase, if not I will no longer be purchasing Colgate toothpaste and hoping that I can return the product, I bought several this week. Brushing your teeth should not make you feel sick.
