I tried this in the bathroom, over the sink. It sprays out with quite a bit of power so be careful to not have things you dont want stained around. It also drips a little, so for me a lot of it got on the sink, washed right off with no problem. I have medium brown straight hair, and the color showed up very well. Only a little bit of product is needed to get a very rich purple color. I combed through it, it dries pretty fast, like 1-2 min. It looks great, nice and even coverage, great for halloween or themed parties or just changing up your look. However, the hair that is colored feels a little rough, like when you use extra hold hair spray, so Im thinking this might be better for updos, or just doing the ends of your hair, maybe spraying it on braids? Only for that reason would I avoid doing my whole hair. Washed right out, which is super important for anyone with highlights or decolores hair, as I have tried the semi permanent LOreal hair dyes, and they last a lot more than 8 washes, last time I did the ends of my hair teal for summer I had to end up getting them cut, because a few months later the color faded but still hadnt washed off completely. Over all, do like this product. Would use it for parties or concerts. I would love to see them come out with some glitter colors! I was really hoping for a quick and easy way to add touches of color to my hair without permanently dying it. Unfortunately, this definitely was not the product for me. The color was not very bright, so it was hard to tell it was in there. It left a heavy chalky texture. If I ran my fingers through my hair the color would come off on my hands. The color was really bright and fun and I like the way it looked. Was easy enough to spray into hair but did take a bit to cover even with my lighter hair. I let it set and dry for a while but still ended up getting all over. My comb was covered in color and if I touched my hair I had to wash my hands to get the color off. it also made my hair feel really gross, like I had put too much dry shampoo in it. My kiddo has been asking to dye her hair all sorts of colors for a while now. LOreal Colorista Spray made it easy to say yes! It allows us to play with bold colors without the commitment or hair damage. The 2oz can is easy to hold and sprays like a champ! I found it very easy to use. I placed a towel around my daughters shoulders so that it didnt get on her shirt at all. You shake the can to give it a good mix up and then begin spraying on dry hair. Youll want to be a few inches away so that you get the perfect control over the color. Go as bold or as light as youd like. You can spray a little or a lot. Its all in your hands and you have total control. Youll want it to dry before touching anything, but this is where the problem came in for us. It took quite a while to dry and the heat and humidity were not working in our favor. The dye was dripping down onto her clothes when she sweat and running her sweaty hands across it to pull hair from her face turned into a blue hand disaster. We immediately washed it out when we got home. The blue dye washed out of her hair with no effort at all. You could see the dye rinsing out even before I added shampoo to her hair. However it then stained my shower walls so I ended up having to scrub them to remove the dye. It turned into a lot of extra work for something that seemed so simple. I was really happy with the LOreal Colorista Spray when we first sprayed it on her hair. It offered a bold beautiful color and was easy to use. However, after seeing just how easy it comes out and the mess that followed, I dont think Id try it again. Though, it might be a nice addition for your Halloween costume since itd be cooler outside and you could possibly avoid the mess that I encountered.
