From day one, my baby had SEVERE colic. She wouldnt sleep for 5-6 hours at a time as a newborn and was unconsolable. Shes exclusively breastfed, never had a bottle. She would only stool weekly, even going as long as 11 days, which is rare for a breastfed baby. She would cry for hours on end in pain. As a neonatal intensive care nurse, I knew this was not normal baby behavior. She would constantly bear down. We tried everything to help her! I completely eliminated all dairy and soy for a month, just in case she had an allergy & to help with gas. We did daily suppositories, prune juice, & camomile tea recommended by her pediatrician, but all with no success. We were even sent to the hospital for scans to look for Hirshsprungs or an obstruction, but everything was normal. We tried gas drops, gripe water, tummy time, infant massage.. she was still miserable. Her stomach was so firm and distended, her hands were always clenched, and wasnt awake and calm at the same time. Then I started her on probiotics... GAME CHANGER. In just a few days, she was no longer in pain. She started smiling all the time, hardly ever crying, sleeping for longer periods, and pooping daily, sometimes multiple times!! She is a totally different baby. Shes now 10 weeks old and is the happiest baby. Her stomach stopped bubbling constantly, and hardly has any gas! If I had only known, I could have saved her (& us!) 6 weeks of misery. See more

My 4 week old son has been quite fussy since birth. He recently has become gassy. He has been staying awake for longer periods of time, and when he is awake, its a constant struggle to keep him happy. Im always holding him, trying to feed him, sing to him, bounce him, try a pacifier, try a warm bath or a warm shower with me. Id put him in his swing, rocker or bouncer where he would only be happy for maybe 5 minutes before fussing and then crying. It has gotten so bad this past week my two sisters actually asked if hes sick. (Which he isnt) when he is awake, its awful. My arms get tired of trying so hard to hold him in a position that keep him happy. (Switching holding positions every 2/3 minutes) I finally looked online as to why he is acting like this. Everything said colic and I found this product and after reading reviews from other parents I went to the store and bought it. I bought this and gave it to him at 7pm. Within a half hour, he was awake, laying on my bed, just staring around the room. This never happened before! He was calm. He wasnt getting upset. He must have laid there for 30 minutes before starting to fuss. I picked him up and held him and he just laid in my arms for another 15 minutes content and quiet before falling asleep. My husband and I were in such shock we actually wondered if he was okay because of how calm he was. Its now 3am and hes fast asleep after his feeding. Which went amazingly smooth! Normally he swallows alot of air with his bottle, its like his tongue would slip off the nipple and he would fill his belly with air, which resulted in lots of burping sessions between tiny feedings. Feedings took forever! He has stopped this weird sucking thing he did. He ate, I burped him once between halfway through feeding and once more after feeding. He then went right back to sleep with no issues. Its only been a few hours but I swear my baby is acting differently. Ill be sure to post another review on how he seems in a few days but by golly is this mom completely happy with the product so far! The bottle design is horrible though, its a real pain getting the liquid out but its worth the trouble to have my baby be happy and content. This is my 4th child and the first one to ever act like this, to the point of needing to try this stuff. Thank you Gerber for such a great product! Now this momma is getting some sleep :) See more
